2013 Stereoscopic Displays and Applications Conference Calls for 3D Theatre Content
SD&A continues to retain its role as the premier venue for the dissemination of research into stereoscopic displays and their applications.
The chairs and committee of the SD&A conference are pleased to announce the advance program for the February 2013 meeting. Spanning three days from Monday 4 February through Wednesday 6 February 2013, the conference will highlight a wide range of technical development in the stereoscopic imaging field. Themes in the technical program include: Auto stereoscopic and Volumetric Displays, 3D Image Quality, 3D User Studies, 3D Games, Applications, 3D Content and Coding, and Multi-layer 3D Displays.
Call for SD&A 3D Theatre Content
The 3D Theatre session at each year’s SD&A conference is one of the conference’s most popular sessions. The purpose of this session is to showcase the wide range of 3D content being produced around the world. The SD&A 2013 3D Theatre session will be held at 5:30 pm on Monday 4 February 2013 – the first day of the conference. If you are a 3D content producer, or have recently worked on a 3D production and can help obtain permission, please consider submitting your work. We accept a wide range of 3D content, from studio blockbusters to industrial applications to student productions. 3D content should be tightly edited and well produced. Content owners should contact3dsubmission@about3d.info prior to 30 November 2012 for submission details. The due date for 3D content submission is 21 December 2012.
Additionally the program includes headline events such as the Keynote Presentations, Discussion Forum, 3D Theatre session, and Demonstration Session. The advance program is available on the SD&A conference website www.stereoscopic.org/2013/program.html
The advance program lists the full technical program so please take the opportunity now to check the wide range of topics, authors and organizations that will be present at the 24th annual SD&A conference and start making plans to attend in February 2013. The SD&A conference is held as part of the annual Electronic Imaging Symposium at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport Hotel. The 2013 Electronic Imaging symposium comprises 23 individual conferences with a wealth of coverage of the electronic imaging field.
