Skillset Craft and Technical Skills Academy Announces 3D Stereoscopic MOT Initiative to Fund Consultancy and Training
We are delighted to launch a range of NEW film funds and grants designed to develop the skills of junior and professional filmmakers.
The aim of these funds is to ensure the UK film industry remains cutting edge with a highly skilled competitive workforce.
Funds for training in 2012 – 2013 include:
CRAFT & TECH grants – Art Department
Cable clinic for camera & lighting crew
3D MOT – 3D consultancy for filmmakers
Masterclass fund for festivals, conference and trade shows
Apprenticeship Enhancement
Health & Safety Training (ongoing)
We have witnessed a growing demand from industry, nationally and globally, for 3D creative and practical skills from development through to post and delivery within film. 3D is at a tipping point and during this time it is vital that UK film makers grow and maintain the skills and knowledge they need to make informed decisions about 3D Stereoscopic (3DS) film making.
Having already funded a significant number of practical hands on camera and on-set training programmes we are now looking to fund training for the wider production team with a view to ensuring that the UK is recognised as a global hub for Stereoscopic 3D feature production.
3D Stereoscopic (3DS) MOT is an initiative designed to provide consultancy and bespoke training for filmmakers looking to make their first or second 3D film.
In particular we are looking to support the following;
Producers
Directors
Art Department
DOPs
Post Production (inc conversion)
