Sony Demos Power of Innovation at IBC 2012
Stand 12.A10, IBC 2012
Sony has announced that once again it will be returning to IBC this September, using this year’s conference as a platform to showcase its strength in technological innovation as part of its ‘Believe Beyond HD’ vision.
Sony to demonstrate power of innovation at IBC 2012
For Sony, IBC 2012 comes at an exciting time of rapid product development and market growth. In the second year of delivering its ‘Believe Beyond HD’ vision, Sony will demonstrate how its innovative products are enabling European customers to take the lead in the content creation and distribution markets. From developing the industry’s first complete 4K workflow, to its continued innovation in ground breaking solutions such as the Optical Disc Archive system or 3D, Sony will show how it is using its immense technological power to serve the individual needs of its customers.
IBC will also be a platform for Sony to show its commitment to becoming a leading technology provider to the sports industry. In the last month alone, Sony has led highly successful 3D productions for world famous sporting events including the Wimbledon Tennis Championships and Goodwood Festival of Speed. In addition, Hawk-Eye, the Sony-backed technology solution, was also qualified by FIFA to license its goal-line technology to football associations across the world. At the conference, Sony will outline its commitment to enhancing the entertainment experience for sports fans by implementing technology that will move the industry as a whole.
“IBC 2012 is an important opportunity to meet many of our customers and show them how our innovative solutions can help meet their business needs,” said Olivier Bovis, Head of AV Media, Sony Europe. “By working in close collaboration with partners and customers and listening to their feedback, we are uniquely placed to develop entirely new technology platforms where necessary for the industry”.
Sony will be exhibiting at IBC 2012 in Hall 12, stand number 12.A10.
