FrameForge Previz Studio, the award winning previsualization software for film, TV and commercial preproduction is proud to release a new level of S3D Camera and Rig Customization
FrameForge Previz Studio 3 S3D Previsualization
FrameForge Previz Studio 3 has been used on the production of hundreds of S3D (Stereo 3D) Movies since it introduced its revolutionary Stereo 3D version three years ago, and now Innoventive Software is pleased to announce the immediate availability of even more powerful and accurate virtual S3D Rig creation.
FrameForge Previz Studio has long allowed the user to define custom 3D rigs to mimic the capabilities and limitations of S3D rig equipment that was not already incorporated in the program. With this new release, FrameForge S3D Rigs can now exactly match not only the optical parameters of the cameras, and the rig’s convergence and IA range but also which of the cameras in the rig are physically moving and converging.
This allows DPs and Directors to be aware of potential framing shifts and parallax issues due to the physical mechanics of the specific S3D rig they are using, which further enhances their preproduction process and helps avoid problems on the set.
Director, Julian Napier, who used the Stereo Edition of FrameForge Previz Studio extensively on the productions of both “Carmen 3D” and the upcoming “Madam Butterfly 3D” for RealD/The Royal London Opera, said that it is “worth its weight in gold in informing you where to put your cameras, how the shot’s going to look and previewing the stereo.”
This new functionality is available as a free update to existing FrameForge Previz Studio, Stereo Edition users via the program’s integrated update functionality and is included in all newly purchased copies.
