Industry Leader in 3D Technologies and Production Services Expands Internationally
CAMERON | PACE Group, the industry leader in 3D technologies and production services, today opened its first international office, in Australia. Led by co-founders James Cameron and Vince Pace, the new CAMERON | PACE Group (CPG) Australian office is led by Managing Director Andrew Wight, who produced the 3D feature “Sanctum” with Cameron earlier in 2011.
The ongoing industry adoption of 3D presents the challenge of supporting rising customer demand in productions worldwide. This marks the first step of a global expansion phase for CPG, targeted at supporting the pressing demand for its technologies and services in several crucial geographies. The new Australian office offers the full range of CPG technology and 3D camera equipment for use in feature films, television, and live sports broadcasting. The office also offers complete local support provided by trained CPG specialists.
Andrew Wight said, “I’m proud that the first international office for CPG is in Australia. Our new presence lets filmmakers here benefit from the same 3D technology and expertise that made James Cameron’s ‘AVATAR’ possible. There is a wealth of creative talent in this country, and now we can providethe 3D know-how and gear to match that talent.”
“3D is the future for both film and broadcasting,” said James Cameron. “We are very excited about enabling more world-class 3D productions in Australia. Andrew is a longtime 3D collaborator with Vince Pace and myself, and I’m proud to have him join the team.”
CPG has led technology innovation in 3D with several major benchmarks being recognized by the industry, including the recent hit “Hugo” and blockbusters “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” and “AVATAR”, the highest-grossing film in history. FUSION 3DTM has become the most widely used creative and advanced workflow system worldwide, with upcoming 3D productions including Ang Lee’s “Life of Pi” and Carl Rinsch’s “47 Ronin.” CAMERON | PACE Group is also the industry leader in 3D sports productions including the Live ’11 US Open Tennis Championships and Live ’11 Summer X Games 17.
