Electrosonic’s Robert Simpson Presents Status of 3D Displays and Projection Systems at ISE 2012
Robert Simpson, co-founder of Electrosonic and author of various publications including ‘Lighting Control Technology and Applications’ will open the 2012 InfoComm Future Trends Summit at the Integrated Systems Europe Exhibition (ISE) in Amsterdam with his ‘Technology Trends in High Resolution Electronic Displays’ presentation. Simpson, a frequent lecturer on audio-visual and lighting control topics, will also give delegates the opportunity to learn more about the unusual aspects of electronic image presentation during his ‘Unusual Display Applications’ seminar held on the second day of the exhibition.
This year’s ISE organisers saw a record number of presentation proposal submissions for both the InfoComm ‘Future Trends Summit’ and the ‘Academy Program’. Electrosonic’s Robert Simpson was chosen as one of only five presenters to speak at the ‘Future Trends Summit’ and one of thirty-two speakers to host an Academy Seminar.
Robert Simpson says, “We recognize the importance of continuing professional development and we are pleased to contribute to InfoComm’s education activities which do so much to ensure that AV professionals are well-informed and properly trained”.
Now in its second year, the ‘Future Trends Summit’ focuses on the business and technology trends likely to impact the AV integration business in 2012 and beyond. Simpson will open the Summit with his ‘Technology Trends in High Resolution Electronic Displays’ presentation. Besides providing ISE delegates with an overview of the newest techniques of displaying information covering laser phosphor displays, pico projectors, electro-wetting, organic LEDs, high resolution tiles and 4K displays, Simpson will look at the current status of 3D displays and projection systems, and some of the latest news from the SID symposium and its implications for this industry.
Simpson’s ‘Unusual Display Applications’ seminar is complementary to his ‘Technology Trends in High Resolution Displays’ presentation, but stands alone and does not assume attendance at the earlier talk. The idea here is to present progress in the unusual aspects of electronic image presentation. Some of the subjects covered include simulation, auto stereoscopic displays, true 3D without glasses, media facades, spectacular staging, volumetric displays, micro-displays, high contrast displays, and unconventional projection surfaces. Part of the presentation will present a historical perspective showing how the presentation of large projected images has progressed over the years.
At ISE 2012 in Amsterdam, Robert Simpson’s InfoComm Future Trends presentation ‘Technology Trends in High Resolution Electronic Displays’ will be held at 11am on 30 January 2012 and the ‘Unusual Display Applications’ seminar will be held at 11.30am on 1 February 2012. Both will be held in the ISE Education Zone attached to Hall 12.
Electrosonic will be situated in Hall 11, booth C35. Simpson will be available at the exhibition stand for questions following his ‘Unusual Display Applications’ seminar on 1 February 2012.
