RealD Named Exclusive Circuit Wide 3D Provider

RealD Inc., a leading global licensor of 3D technologies, and France’s leading exhibitor, Les Cinemas Gaumont Pathe, announced today a multi-year extension to their 3D cinema deal under which RealD has been named the exclusive circuit wide 3D cinema technology provider. The new agreement increases the number of screens to be equipped with RealD 3D to up to 600 and calls for only RealD 3D technology to be utilized at current and future Les Cinemas Gaumont Pathe locations. RealD and Les Cinemas Gaumont Pathe signed their initial agreement in 2009 and Les Cinemas Gaumont Pathe currently has approximately 500 screens equipped with RealD 3D across theaters in France, The Netherlands and Switzerland.

RealD is the world’s most widely used 3D cinema technology, with over 18,700 screens equipped with RealD 3D in approximately 60 countries around the world.
