BVE North Announces Success for Inaugural Event
The inaugural BVE North event has been hailed as a great success by organisers, exhibitors and visitors alike, with over 2400 (awaiting ABC audit) attendees over the two day show.
There was standing room only at many of the free seminar sessions, including acclaimed film director Shane Meadows’ presentation on digital film making with the Sony F3, Lighting on the Run presented by Jonathan Harrison of STLD, and Ian Wagdin’s presentation on the importance of codecs. Many exhibitors used the show to launch new products or to demonstrate technology for the first time in the UK, and visitors commented on the good mix of products and services on show which included audio technology, cameras and accessories, asset management tools and encoding technology.
Liz Cox, Marketing Communications Manager, JVC Professional Europe, said, “There was a great range of customers at the show – from end users to chief technical officers – which meant we were able to show the right products to the right people. The Manchester location also gave us the opportunity to meet new many new faces.”
Charlotte Wheeler, Event Director, said, “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response from the visitors attending BVE North in the last two days. They have fully embraced the exciting and educational content that has been presented on the show floor. The exhibitors have already begun taking options on stands for next year, and we will be revealing plans for BVE North 2012 very shortly.”
