At IBC (booth 10.A09) TestVid will be showing for the first time two new 3D video test sequences designed specifically for testing video encoders and other broadcast equipment, together with specialised playout software and associated hardware.
Designed for broadcasters who need to check out broadcast equipment and test functionality prior to purchase or after installation, and equipment developers the video sets each comprise over 30 pairs of uncompressed Left+Right video, with associated audio (each set is over 800 GBytes of video).
T3D002 USA West comprises sequences filmed in San Francisco and Las Vegas at US frame rates (59.94 fps) at 1920×1080 and also 23.976fps at 2K resolution.

Comprehensive technical documentation is provided allowing users to quickly and easily select video sequences in each set of particular interest.
In addition, TestVid will be launching TvidsNXS, which is software particularly for playing out the Testvid video test sequences in real time on HD-SDI.
Pricing and Availability
The new 3D sequences will be available in October at Euros 1,499 ; the TvidsNXS software is available immediately (priced Euros 799).
