P+S Technik Offers Quarterwave Filter for the PS-Freestyle Rig
P+S TECHNIK now offers a high quality Quarterwave Filter for the PS-Freestyle Rig. It leads to a severe reduction of polarization artefacts without almost no light loss. Additionally, the PS-Freestyle Quarterwave Filter consisting of optical glass with a high quality coating reduces flare and protects the beamsplitter mirror. The PS-Freestyle Quarterwave Filter can be mounted and dismantled very quickly with a special quick lock mechanism.
– Severe reduction of polarization artefacts between left and right image
– Almost no light loss
– High quality polished and multicoated optical glass
– Protection for the beamsplitter mirror
– Quick lock mounting mechanism
The polished and multicoated beamsplitter mirrors of P+S TECHNIK split the light exactly 50/50. Anyway, the physics of dielectric mirrors also cause a partial splitting of differently polarized light waves. No matter which 3D rig you are using, in situations with polarized light you’ll need a Quarterwave Filter (‘Depolarizer’) in order to avoid polarization artefacts. A White Paper concerning this issue is available in the download section.
NEW Protection Glass for PS-Freestyle Rig
Following several requests from PS-Freestyle Rig users, P+S TECHNIK now offers a clear protection glass for the PS-Freestyle Rig’s beamsplitter mirror. The protection glass closes the mirror box on the front. It is made from high quality coated optical glasses which ensures minimized flare and reflections. The protection glass can be mounted and dismantled very quickly with a special quick lock mechanism.
