Distributed 3D HDMI over IP – Just Add Power.

Just Add Power HD over IP™ 2G is the only HDMI over IP technology in the world to have been approved by HDMI.org passing the official HDMI ATC 1.4 testing certification standards (including video performance). An indicator as to just how far the technology has progressed since its launch one year ago at HTE 2010.

Distributor Connectivity UK will be showcasing a number of upgrades to the 2G platform at HTE 2011. These include fast-switching IP drivers from Janus Technologies (FREE to UK Dealers) and the forthcoming ‘3D Manager™’ HDMI 1.4 upgrade module.

3D Manager™ is specially designed to deliver a distributed 3D solution that addresses the unique requirements of the CEDIA market. This distributed model delivers the benefits of a 3D viewing experience onto practically any standard HDTV or projector (3D compatible or not). This seemingly impossible accomplishment is achieved by combining 3D-VIP’s technology with the Just Add Power 2G HD over IP™ solution.

3D Manager™ provides owners of existing high quality televisions and projectors a bridge to experience and enjoy the growing variety of 3D content being delivered without having trade-in and buy again. This includes popular 3D content delivery platforms like Blu-Ray, Satellite etc. The 3D Manager™ works with the full range of 3D broadcast standard (Frame Packing, Side-By-Side, Top-and-Bottom) to deliver a Frame Sequential 3D experience.

Connectivity UK will offer 3D Manager as a complete turnkey package (including 3D encoder, synchnodes, emitters and 4 pairs of glasses) to dealers for use on new and existing HD over IP™ 2G installations, with first customer shipments expected to be delivered this summer.
