The Foundry announces ARRI ALEXA support in NUKE and STORM
The Foundry, a world-leading innovator of visual effects and image processing technologies – and developers of the award-winning NUKE VFX compositing tool – has joined the ARRI Partner Program and begun efforts to support the ARRI ALEXA camera in its NUKE and STORM products.
“The management team at The Foundry have an astute and innovative vision for a future which sees further integration of ALEXA imaging technology within their cutting edge products,” comments Neil Fanthom, Head of Market Strategy for ARRI’s digital camera systems. “The coming months will prove to be exciting times as support for ALEXA Log C and ARRIRAW is delivered in The Foundry’s NUKE and STORM product lines; it’s a pleasure to publicly welcome The Foundry as a new and highly valued member of the ARRI Partner Program.”
Richard Shackleton, Head of Product for The Foundry, states, “ARRI has long been a pillar in the broadcast and feature film industry. ALEXA is an important camera in the market, and is a hot topic among our customers. The Foundry is therefore delighted to join the ARRI Partner Program to ensure we can support a robust and efficient ALEXA workflow with NUKE and STORM.”
Earlier this year ARRI created an expanded set of Partner Program resources, including an updated Software Development Kit (SDK), ARRIRAW Converter and viewer (ARC) and, most importantly, information on the new ALEXA V3 color science. ARRI openly supports innovation in a rapidly changing market, working with the world’s best hardware and software development partners towards achieving widespread industry support for ALEXA file-based workflows.
