projectiondesign provides super-sized 3D projected displays for SGO
Underlining its commitment to providing tailored projection solutions to the film and broadcast post-production community, projectiondesign® will support SGO with high impact and super sized 3D projected displays to showcase a mixture of 2D and 3D content at NAB 2011.
SGO is the developer of Mistika, a high-end flagship DI and stereoscopic 3D post-production system. At NAB this year the company will be debuting Version 6 of Mistika together with a new on-set application, Mistika Live. Mistika is widely acclaimed for offering ground-breaking levels of control for stereoscopic material, with advanced editing, compositing, colour correction and grading functionalities. The system’s open architecture and open storage approach enables third-party systems to have direct access to its files, offering the prospect of very flexible workflows.
At NAB, SGO will be demonstrating Mistika’s capabilities in two 3D and one 2D post-production scenarios, using projectiondesign cineo32 DLP® projectors. Designed specifically with grading, editing, and preview suites in mind, the cineo32 has built up a substantial following in the global post-production community, where its superb colour accuracy and ability to be output-adjusted to fit various screen sizes with an absolute desired brightness level have been welcomed with open arms.
Anders Løkke, International Marketing & Communications Manager, projectiondesign, comments: “The cineo32 has given us a great foothold in post-production and now, as 3D workflows start to become an accepted component of content creation, it is even more important for us to demonstrate the capabilities of our production-specific projectors in real-world settings at an event like NAB.
“It’s important also to stress that we are not simply supplying projectors to partners such as SGO. We will have our own personnel on the booth at all times to answer attendees’ questions, and we fully expect to come away from the show with many important new contacts in what is still a growing market for projectiondesign.”
SGO will be exhibiting on booth SL8220, South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from 11-14 April.
