Consortium Showcases wide range of 3D HDTV content at the 3D@Home TechZone, Publishes 3D Show Guide, and Posts Updated List of 3D Products for the Home
The 3D@Home Consortium today announced three services to help navigate activities and information about 3D for the home during and after the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada, January 6-9, 2011. The 3D@Home Consortium is sponsoring the 3D@Home TechZone, in the South Lower Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, serving as the nexus of all 3D activity during the show.
The 3D@Home exhibit (booth number 25912) in the TechZone showcases the hottest in 3D content – sports, movies, animated movies, concerts, ballet, and other cultural events. The consortium will also demonstrate its recently launched consumer web site 3DUniversity.net, a neutral, non-biased source of information on 3D and related products, designed to ensure a great 3D experience in the home. It is the place with answers to 3D questions about equipment, programming, and fine tuning 3D.
3DUniversity.net is also unveiling a full database of 3D products currently available on the market. The lists includes 3D HDTVs, Blu-ray players, projectors, digital camcorders and cameras, laptops, monitors, games, portable consumer devices and many other 3D gadgets. “This list is unique in its coverage of 3D products,” notes Heidi Hoffman, managing director of 3D@Home. “The sheer volume of products with 3D capability is growing rapidly as more consumers realize that 3D enhances learning, gaming and television enjoyment.”
In addition to sponsoring the 3D@Home TechZone, the 3D@Home Consortium is providing a comprehensive 3D show guide on its web site. The “Guide to 3D@CES 2011” contains all of the 3D related activities taking place at CES into one easy to reference package. Included in the guide are schedules and locations of 3D presentations, featured technology and exhibit locations, as well as the latest 3D TV news, marketing statistics and availability of 3DTV products and services.
