IRIDAS today announced it will unveil a number of significant new developments impacting its stereoscopic 3D workflow initiatives at IBC 2010 in Amsterdam next week. Delivering on its announcements from NAB 2010 last spring, IRIDAS will release SpeedGrade DI 2010 and FrameCycler DI 2010 for immediate availability. These new releases add significant Stereo 3D features and new workflow improvements and include IRIDAS’ award-winning, 4th generation Stereo 3D toolset, DualStream NX. This groundbreaking 3D workflow technology includes such innovations as enabling push-button correction of geometric misalignment and color differences between the two eyes – an important development for instant review of on-set dailies.
IRIDAS also announced today it has added support for multiple RED Rocket cards to SpeedGrade DI and FrameCycler DI 2010. With this new development, RED stereo workflows can rely on solid, high quality real time performance and fast turnaround times for rendering. Last month, IRIDAS also announced another industry first for the company – the first native support for ARRI ALEXA stereo workflows. Using IRIDAS’ high performance Quicktime framework and tapping IRIDAS’ DualStream NX stereoscopic review technology, users are now able to instantly review ALEXA stereo footage in the field and experience real-time geometry alignment and color match in a true stereoscopic timeline.
Executives from IRIDAS will be on hand in the Company’s stand #7.H11 to demonstrate the new 2010 products and highlight its latest advancements in stereo 3D workflow technologies.
“IBC 2010 marks an important milestone for IRIDAS and signifies the culmination of intense development and a lot of hard work by the entire team at IRIDAS,” said Lin Sebastian Kayser, CEO of IRIDAS. “Stereo 3D workflow technology is on everyone’s mind, with a summer filled with 3D blockbuster movie hits and the news of many more new 3D projects, and 2D-3D conversion projects in the pipeline. We’re here to show our customers that we have developed the industry’s most effective, valuable and accessible 3D production tools, available today and ready to tackle their most challenging 3D projects. We’re excited to see their reaction!”
