The 85th Academy Awards saw Life of Pi follow in the footsteps of Hugo by winning Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects, which can only be a good thing for the 3D industry as a whole. Congratulations also go to Life of Pi for winning Oscars for Best Directing and Best Music - Original Score. Other 3D winners were Brave for Best Animated Feature Film and Paperman for Best Short Film - Animated.
