Hello [FIRSTNAME]

Again this month, The Hobbit and high frame rate (HFR) production and projection feature strongly, and we attended an HFR 3D screening of the film courtesy of SGO earlier this week. Having only seen short test clips of HFR before, the challenge was to find the right vocabulary to describe how the image looked and felt - in part it was like looking through glass, in others like a BBC TV production from the 1980's. Whether you think it good, bad or ugly - and there are a lot of ugly characters in this film - this is just the start for HFR, and we look forward to seeing what can be achieved with different genres.
