BVE North Opens Registration for 2013 Event
The premier Northern event for production, post and content delivery returns to Manchester on 12-13 November 2013
Visitors can now pre-register for BVE North 2013, the North’s essential broadcast event, which takes place at Manchester Central on 12-13 November 2013. This year’s event will feature valuable free seminar content from high calibre speakers, product launches and demonstrations of new technology fresh from IBC, and a raft of networking events.
James Rowley-Ashwood, Event Director, BVE North, said, “Recent OfCom data shows that PSBs are again spending more on producing programmes in the North of England, which is fantastic for BVE North – now very much a must-attend event. We have a seen a great response to our registration outreach, with representatives from organisations including BBC, BSkyB, Channel 4, BT, MUTV, RTE, Liverpool FC and Al Jazeera already registered to attend. Our new central launch stage feature will focus on demonstrations of the hottest new kit from the top manufacturers, while our seminar programmes will continue to offer both high level industry level debate and practical production skills.”
BVE North’s 2013’s speaker programme currently includes Susan Woodward OBE, Director, The Sharp Project and Creative Media Champion for the City of Manchester, who joins a panel on collaborative working in the digital age; John Maxwell Hobbs, Head of Technology, BBC Scotland, examining the challenges of end to end digital workflows; and Tom Sherry, Executive Producer, Red Production Company, looking at how production companies are exploiting new technologies to reinvent workflows and enhance content.
BVE North 2013 will also provide more of the all-important networking opportunities. The SkillsZone is back by popular demand, offering valuable careers advice from expert practitioners in the industry, and the bar area has been expanded to accommodate more of the informal Bar Meet-Ups that were a big hit in 2012.
