3doo Launches Globally on LG Smart TVs
3doo Announces LG Smart TVs to Add 3-D Media Player App in 87 Markets: World’s Only Global 3-D Media & Entertainment Platform Expands to Ten Million Consumers and Growing
3doo Inc., the world’s only global 3-D media and entertainment platform, has announced that LG, the world’s second largest television manufacturer, has approved 3doo’s Player App for download and installation on LG’s line of Smart TVs in 87 countries and territories on every continent.
“This significant milestone will expand 3doo’s digital 3-D platform reach to millions of LG TV viewers in 87 countries, including major markets such as the U.S., Canada, India and the United Kingdom – and for the first time in the large 3-D markets of China, South Korea and Japan,” stated Michael Stougiannos, Chief Executive Officer of 3doo, Inc. “3doo is more strongly committed than ever to building its position as a global leader in 3-D media and entertainment, and to disrupting the 3-D film distribution industry worldwide.”

The 3doo Player App is also available pre-installed on millions of Panasonic’s 2012 and 2013 VIERA 3-D TVs globally, placing the 3doo platform alongside other premium entertainment services such as YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and Hulu.
3doo is the only global platform that directly connects content providers, electronic manufacturers, movie studios, and television stations with the rapidly expanding mass market of the 3-D end users around the world in an open marketplace.
“The home entertainment industry has responded to the success of 3-D movies with a wide array of 3-D products, but still confronts major problems such as the lack of sufficient available 3-D content; the need of 3-D content producers to access the necessary distribution infrastructure; and the inability of end users to access quality 3-D content,” stated Stougiannos. “3doo is the only global platform that successfully addresses all of these content issues.”
