S3D Campus Announces Produce a S3D Movie from Conception to Screen Workshop
The S3D Campus training supported by the European programme MEDIA took place on June 13th and June 14th during Dimension 3 Forum and was a great success.
These two days of meeting – offering training and pitching sessions to European producers – seem to already be constructive as new S3D projects are being created or have even already started The next S3D Campus workshop, more practical, is scheduled in November.
The last workshop “Produce and Sell a S3D Feature or Documentary” gathered 30 European producers coming from 15 different countries. “This training was an incredible chance to meet people struggling with the same problems and getting answers!” declares Joern Zielke, German producer.
The training was being held at the heart of the International Forum Dimension 3 for the first time. This localisation also allowed the participants to present their projects (documentaries, long features, TV series ) to international buyers and experts who were attending the Forum (Orange, Electric Sky, DDD, Principal Media).
The producers also had the opportunity to gain the essential knowledge to produce a successful S3D project from a technical, but also financial point of view thanks to many experts talks.
From November 19th to November 28th, S3D Campus proposes “Produce a S3D movie from Conception to Screen”, a new 8-day training with practical workshops including handling equipment. This training, unique in its conception, offers the trainees to produce an S3D content. The participants will be shared into groups of 5 to 7 people. They will be confronted with the problematics linked to S3D content creation during practical workshops punctuated by educational breaks. They will have to shoot scenes, edit and calibrate the different takes in order to produce a S3D trailer.
This training program is sponsored by the European Union MEDIA programme; it will gather fifteen participants. Applications (resume and cover letter) must be sent to the organizers before September 25th, 2012. An early bird discount is applied for registration before June 30th 2012.
