Dimension 3 Hosts S3D Campus Free Produce and Sell a S3D Feature or Documentary Workshop
On June 13th and 14th, Dimension 3 welcomes the S3D Campus free workshop PRODUCE AND SELL A S3D FEATURE OR S3D DOCUMENTARY. This unique workshop (supported by the European Media programme) will be mainly based on the feedback of professionals involved in leading S3D European projects.
On the first day, the training will enable the participants to discover how to produce a S3D Documentary through the experience of Laurent Baujard executive producer for Gedeon Programmes. Laurent will give feedback about his experience on Makay; a S3D documentary following a scientific expedition plunged into the unexplored Makay jungle in the heart of Madagascar.

On June 14th, Alexander Lentjes will provide feedback as specialist in 3-D stereoscopic animation productions. Alexander regularly consults independent production companies on all aspects of S3D including 3 cinematography, filming techniques, S3D storytelling, storage, delivery, display and distribution. His professional background and the variety of the projects he worked on enable him to analyse with acuity the animation market and the opportunities provided by S3D technologies and S3D platforms.
Alexander will support his testimony through 3 case studies:
– Freddy Frogface 3D (CGI animated film produced in Denmark by Crone Film – Nina Crone, 2011)
– Italian Winx Club II 3D (CGI animated film produced in Italy by Medusa Produzione, Rainbow S.r.l, 2010 – this film is the sequel to “Winx Club – The Secret of the Lost Kingdom)
– Shaun the Sheep 3D (15 3-D episodes of stop-motion series for Nintendo 3DS

Charlotte Jones – senior analyst at IHS Screen Digest specializing in the global film and cinema sectors will share with participants her analysis regarding The value of the global 3D entertainment business and the key trends and developments around the World. Charlotte has eight years experience as a media analyst. She leads IHS Screen Digest’s research in 3D cinema and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the widely referenced statistics on 60 international cinema markets.
Eventually, the speaker Robert Francke, Head of Content for MyVideo (Pro7Sat1 – Magic Internet GmbH) will explain how to sell S3D Contents around the world. Producer, Director, acquisitions & business development executive with over ten years of experience will give an extensive insight into all facets of new media with a strong focus on content strategies and licensing from both sides of the negotiation table.

Two topical lunches will allow a deeper insight in specific themes. The participants will have the opportunity to meet potential partners and/ or broadcasters during a pitching session but also during two networking cocktails. Sponsored by the European Union’s MEDIA program this 2 days workshop is free of charge for European participants (producers and contents providers).
