Prepare to be gripped by the unique experience of 3D without the need or discomfort of wearing glasses. Following a successful pilot of this technology last year, RAM 3D are pleased to launch the latest innovation at the Walkabout bar in London’s Covent Garden. The Heineken Cup and Champion’s League Finals will be broadcast by Sky on their 3D channel and converted in real time with the help of RAM 3D’s 65” Tridelity screen, powered by FreeRay.
Dal, Manager of Walkabout Covent Garden, reports that, “one year on and I am impressed by the remarkable quality of this. Last year’s prototype was good but I am amazed and excited to be offering my customers this fantastic leading edge experience, knowing the only glasses they’ll need on the night, are the ones my staff will be serving drinks in”.
From sports and gadget lovers to those who just enjoy watching T.V, you will be able to experience these two huge sporting events in 3D, on Tridelity’s five view parallax barrier screens, enabling actual live conversion of Sky’s side-by-side 3D feed into a multi-view format. This now sets the precedence for 3D viewing for the future. Removing the glasses will not only add to the enjoyment but allows early adoption to the sports bar and home user markets, in bringing 3D televised events into our everyday lives.
Matthew Young, 3D consultant at RAM 3D explains; “This 3D technology is at the cutting edge of consumer viewing and now has the ability to generate an accurate real time 3D experience. Tridelity screens are now available for rent and sale throughout the UK, perfect for sports bars, events, brands looking to replicate 3D content in corporate environments and digital signage. Viewers will be amazed by the way the image is represented during a sporting match and the immersive feeling it gives, watching it in 3D.”
The Heineken Cup Final, Leinster Vs Ulster, kicks off at 5.00pm, followed by the Champions League Final of Chelsea Vs Bayern Munich from 7.45pm on 17th May.
