In 2012, S3D Campus offers “Produce and Sell an S3D Feature Film or Documentary”, a new training program on stereoscopic 3D. This training will be held during the first two days of the European forum on the new dimensions of images, at The Docks de Paris of Saint-Denis (just outside Paris).
On June 13 and 14, 2012, S3D Campus is holding a training program on producing and selling an S3D Feature Film or Documentary, in collaboration with Dimension 3 Forum. Over the course of two days filled with theoretical classes and meetings with professionals in the S3D industry (stereographers, producers, distributors, international buyers ), trainees will learn how to avoid the technological and economical pitfalls related to the production of an S3D documentary or feature film; they will also find out about financial and market opportunities that can help develop an S3D production. Two pitching sessions will also give people who have an S3D production project the opportunity to present it in 3 minutes to Dimension 3 marketplace’s audience.
This training program is free of charge, and is sponsored by the European Union’s MEDIA program; it will gather some thirty participants, selected based on their resume and cover letter. Applications must be sent to the organizers before April 15, 2012. Five of the participants can have their travel and accommodation costs covered.
– Professionals looking for information to develop a S3D project (feature or documentary)
– Professionals with S3D projects (or who have just finished a production and are willing to sell it)
– Content providers or distributors looking for economical models
From November 19 to 28, 2012, S3D Campus will also offer an 8-day training program on “Producing an S3D Film, from the Drawing Board to the Screen”, combining hands-on workshops and theoretical classes, in order for trainees to get acquainted with all the steps involved in producing an S3D film.
