2nd and 3rd February 2012 – Watershed and Films at 59, Bristol
Advanced 3D – The National Stereoscopic 3D Training Programme is a 2 day series of intensive workshops and hands on seminars for industry professionals – by industry professionals.
With special guests the programme is led by 3D Producer and Trainer Phil Streather (Bugs!, London Eye, Carmen, Meerkats, Madam Butterfly) who has run master classes at: NAB Las Vegas, IBC Amsterdam, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Wildscreen Film Festival, Jackson Hole Film Festival, HFF Potsdam and 3D Masters BAFTA.
Day one will be held at Watershed, Bristol for a maximum of 40 attendees. This day offers a comprehensive overview of everything you need to know about embarking on a 3D project; with a focus on camera/lens/rig choice and how to create good 3D, with 3D examples on the big screen. There will follow hands on, practical 3D shooting in groups, using the major 3D rigs, monitoring, recording and post production tools.
Day two will be held at Films at 59, Bristol, for a maximum of 20 attendees: DoPs, 1st Acs, Editors, Directors and Producers; all of whom will need to have attended day one. This second day delves deeper into the art and craft of stereography and includes an A-Z of editing 3D material, from rushes through off-line to
final grade.
