In a move to broaden its global presence in Europe, SGO is pleased to announce the appointment of Linka Broadcasting Group as official Mistika Reseller for the Turkey market.

Director of SGO Global Sales & Operations, Geoff Mills affirms: “Bringing Linka on board is a clear indication of how SGO does not always aim for the obvious regions and is ready to take on exciting emerging territories to benefit from Mistika’s technology. Opportunities in Turkey are evident and Linka is in a strategic and influential position to introduce the industry there to Mistika. We are very excited to be working with Linka and have already planned multiple evaluations at Linka’s news demo area and show-room, which are due to be launched.”

Managing Director of Linka, Mehmet Melih Alaca states: “Linka is delighted to represent SGO in Turkey. Linka has also been very successful within Turkey with sales of ARRI’s new ALEXA digital cinematography camera, selling over fifty units in 2010, and placing an advanced order for a further fifty at IBC this year. “Linka attracts leading technology which shows that Turkey readily grasps the best available systems and equipment for digital imaging. With the new partnership with SGO and Mistika, Linka aims to extend the best technology available into post production,” affirms Steve Shaw, CEO of Light Illusion.

For SGO, together with the new consultancy partnership with Light Illusion, Linka aims to introduce Mistika to the Turkish market and show just how powerful Mistika is, and how it will enhance the high-end capabilities of Istanbul’s internationally renowned post production companies.

In a parallel development, Linka has also agreed a partnership with Light Illusion to support the colour calibration and colour management systems supplied by Light Illusion. As part of this agreement Light Illusion will be providing Linka with support for post production workflows and system design.

Already Linka has sold a number of LightSpace MS calibration systems, and two Film Profiling SCD systems into 2 of Istanbul’s top film labs.
