EBU Announces 2012 Production Technology Seminar

The 2012 Production Technology Seminar will dive into all the matters broadcasters have to take into account in their @transition: reaching from tri-media productions over HD and file based workflow projects, to green production technologies towards the future of “Beyond HD”. New 1080p/50 studio codecs, contribution video codecs and audio formats will be explored in terms of interoperability, technological and business benefits.
Participants seeking for in-depth knowledge on particular topics such as SOA, workflow analysis, camera measurements and Hybrid Radio will be able to take part in small group tutorials.
The seminar will host sessions on:
• Use Cases for modern tri-media and 3D production
• New video compression interoperability and formats
• Files and SOA based workflows
• Latest developments in Audio
• Quality control in file-based production
• Cameras, Display and Lighting (LED)
• Media storage systems, including cloud storage
• Metadata, user reports and practical implementations
• Latest news from the Super High Vision implementation from NHK

Provide an up-to-date view of camera, light and display technologies

Provide in-depth knowledge on selected topics through practical tutorials
