Bluefish444 Supports Avid Media Composer 6 on Windows & Mac for Epoch & Create Video Cards
Bluefish444, manufacturer of the industry’s highest-quality uncompressed 4K/2K/HD/SD SDI video cards, announced future support for Avid® Media Composer® 6, Symphony™ 6 and NewsCutter® 10 through its high-quality SDI I/O, available on Windows and Mac.
Bluefish444 has worked closely with Avid engineering and product management throughout 2011 to tightly integrate Media Composer 6, Symphony 6 and NewsCutter 10 with the entire range of Epoch and Create video cards. As a result, Bluefish444 customers can now avail themselves of Avid’s unique time-saving tools and advanced workflows, including seamless integration of the Avid DNxHD® codec. Support for Avid software, together with Bluefish444 bundled Symmetry and Fluid software, provides an end-to-end, extremely flexible post production workflow solution from Bluefish444 at an ultra high quality 12 bit processing of SDI I/O.
“Bluefish444 has provided a robust 444/422 SDI I/O solution for the past decade. The most commonly demanded request throughout that time from our customer base has been support for Avid software. Avid have been a pleasure to work with and have clearly been listening to and acting upon the same message. Avid Open I/O is an exciting development for everybody involved in post production and especially Bluefish444 Epoch and Create customers”, said Craige Mott, Managing Director.
“With support for Bluefish444 hardware with Avid Open I/O, Avid customers can easily leverage existing hardware investments and add Media Composer, Symphony or NewsCutter into current workflow configurations,” said Angus Mackay, pro video marketing manager at Avid. “Users can now pair high-quality Bluefish444 hardware or Avid accelerated and natively integrated DX systems with their Avid NLE, whichever works best for them. We’re pleased to partner with Bluefish444 and empower users with these advancements that can help them speed post production.”
All Bluefish444 customers with an Epoch or Create video card will be able to access the Avid plug-ins free of charge from the Bluefish444 homepage.
