Virtual Tourism Channel Gives Viewers a One-of-a-kind 3D Experience
In an exclusive deal, Vivicast Media has secured North American rights to the first interactive 3D channel available to the Americas. WildEarth puts viewers in the middle of 24-7 interactive 3D looks at the world’s untamed animal wonders and provides an unparalleled experience into a rarely seen world. From African game reserves with safari experiences, to the depths of the oceans in search of sharks, viewers see and interact with our planet’s “wild side” all without leaving their living rooms.
Vivicast Media, the foremost global content aggregator, continues to focus on bringing U.S. and international viewers the best in entertainment from around the globe. With content licensing that crosses multiple platforms and borders, Vivicast brings a suite of linear channels to viewers who want programming for multiple user devices like tablets and smart devices, as well as traditional IPTV and cable deployments. By adding WildEarth to its already robust licensing line-up, Vivicast joins the ranks of the nation’s largest network entertainment providers by feeding a hungry 3D viewing public with the next generation of television that they’ve been waiting for.
“To say that we are thrilled to be the exclusive distributor of WildEarth for North and South America is an understatement,” said Stuart Smitherman, President, Vivicast Media. “We truly believe that the demand for WildEarth 3D will be intense not only because of its interactive capabilities but the viewer’s ability to explore an entirely new world of entertainment.”
Graham Wallington of WildEarth stated that, “WildEarth is a pioneer in the field of virtual tourism and because of their strong reputation as a market leader we are proud to be working with Vivicast.” He continued by saying, “Bringing our unique concept to the Americas we will be able to greatly expand our audience and make people aware of the importance of preserving ecosystems that are both fragile and fascinating.”
Vivicast Media will demo the WildEarth 3D service and begin accepting licensees at the upcoming NCTA, “The Cable Show” booth #1918 at the McCormick Center in Chicago, IL, from June 14 through June 16.
