CEDIA Home Technology Event Features 3D Zone Showcasing 3D Home Cinema, Gaming, Sports and Movie Viewing
JVC and Panasonic – two of the stellar brands in 3D – will be leading the way in bringing the concept to life for visitors to this year’s CEDIA Home Technology Event (28-30 June, ExCeL London) supported by a broad range of top industry names, including Arcam, AWE Europe, Bowers & Wilkins, Denon, KEF and URC.
This year’s event will include an exciting 3D Zone, featuring two specially-built theatres. These theatres will showcase the latest cutting edge JVC and Panasonic equipment to demonstrate how awe-inspiring technology combined with immersive 3D content can help custom installers provide a stunning home cinema, gaming, sports and movie viewing experience for their customers.
“As consumer demand builds for 3D, residential custom installers are ideally placed to tap into this opportunity and provide their customers with the right technical solutions for their homes” says Cheryl Carroll, the show’s Event Manager. “In this context, it’s hugely important for installers to keep up to speed with what’s happening in the market. Our 3D Zone will make it possible for them to see first hand how the technology in this area is developing rapidly to improve the 3D experience for their customers”.

The 3D Zone will showcase JVC’s award-winning 3D D-ILA projectors which provide the ultimate in cinema-like picture quality backed by the latest THX 3D certification. All three models, the DLA-X3, DLA-X7 and DLA-X9 feature native contrast ratios unmatched in the interest, with the top model delivering an astounding 100,000:1 performance. Surround sound audio within the space will be provided by another top brand in the CI sector, Bowers & Wilkins.
Panasonic headlines the second 3D space with its new range of Life Size Full HD 3D screens, the VX200 and UX1 series. Here, the company will be showing the world’s largest plasma display, the 152” TH-152UX1 – the first time this screen will ever be seen at a UK event. Panasonic is partnering in this 3D zone with its CI distributor AWE Europe who will be providing power amplification products from Arcam and 3D Blu-Ray players from Denon to ensure optimum quality audio and video reproduction, premium quality speakers from KEF. Comfort seating in the space is supplied by Signature and the 3D technology for the space will be operated by the latest controller from world renowned manufacturer, URC.
The Home Technology Event is the only dedicated product and training showcase for smart home innovations. It features the latest technologies and systems in home cinema, whole home audio, TV and video distribution, lighting control, structured wiring, HVAC control, blind and security systems plus the most diverse education and conference programme the industry has to offer.
