Turenne Capital invests US$3 million in Volfoni
Volfoni has just completed raising $3 millions from the investment fund Turenne Capital.
Founded in 2007, Volfoni is a major player in the design, manufacture, and distribution of 3D glasses in Europe. Since 2009, Volfoni has invested heavily in research and development to be able to build its next generation of products using the latest technology. Volfoni has just completed this round of fundraising to support its commercial and technological development.
“The commercial success of our EDGE glasses in the cinema and education markets allowed us to maintain the first phase of our development. The arrival of Turenne Capital helps us rapidly develop new products and services. The year 2011 will be full of new products. We are very proud of this fundraiser and the confidence Turenne Capital has in us,” said Thierry Henkinet, President of Volfoni.
Objectives for 2011
While Volfoni originally came to prominence in the rental of 3D solutions for cinemas, and later in the design of 3D glasses and consumer electronics, the company also provides comprehensive services including the integration of 3D systems. This capital will serve to strengthen the group’s growth, and expand its international network by strengthening existing teams. Volfoni also plans to open offices in more countries as well as increase research and development.
“Turenne Capital has chosen to invest in Volfoni, as they are well aware of our company’s growth and development potential. Volfoni is the only company to offer continuous innovation in the field of 3D cinemas, televisions, and displays. Right now, our R&D team is working on innovations that will allow us to satisfy everyone in the 3D market” said Renaud Van Lith, CEO of Volfoni.
Volfoni will be present during the Cannes Film Festival (May, 11th – 22nd) at the Village Pantiero “Rendez-vous des Exploitants”.
