Teranex Introduces VC1-3DTK 3D Toolkit at NAB 2011
Teranex Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance video processing platforms, is pleased to announce the introduction of a new 3D application; the VC1-3DTK application is a 3D software application meant to help correct typical problems created by 3D Camera Rigs.
Teranex’s VC1-3DTK technology is a software application running on Teranex’s Dual channel VC100s. The proprietary software application can flip the right or left eye horizontally & vertically, adjust for Inter-Axial Distance (IAD) with separate horizontal and vertical adjustments, change the axial and toe-in rotation angles, zoom or crop and adjust all video parameters to accurately match right and left eye camera streams. As an added benefit, the application includes all the features of the newly released VC1-3D-SYNC with +/-1 Frame Synchronizing capability, frame rate conversion and the ability to reference the R/L Eye signals to an external source or to the Left Eye signal.
“Capturing effective 3D with high quality cameras can be expensive and quite a challenge for Stereographers, this new application allows them more flexibility, they can use any camera pair to achieve the best 3D. Our 3DTK & 3D Sync applications resolve any genlock, geometric or electronic disparity issue; they’ll even change the frame rate from 23.98 to 50 or 59.94 if needed. We were intrinsically involved in the SD to HD transition, and we believe our exceptional technology will do the same for 3D production, by helping to provide more affordable means to create more 3D content” said Ray Conkling, Assistant General Manager at Teranex.
The technology is available through the VC1-3DTK and will be on display at Teranex‘s NAB2011 booth, N1115, at The Las Vegas Convention Center from April 11th to 14th.
