Toshiba introduces new Satellite P-series multimedia laptops with 3D features

Toshiba UK today announces the incredible new Satellite P-series – a range of premium, large screen multimedia laptops capable of stunning 3D images, high definition graphics and fast processing speeds for a truly mesmerising computing experience. The Satellite P-series includes the Satellite P755 – a 39.6cm (15.6”) laptop with class-leading multimedia 3D features, ideal for movie and gaming enthusiasts. The range also includes the Satellite P750, and the larger Satellite P770 and Satellite P775, featuring 43.9cm (17.3”) screens and premium desktop replacement features.
Designed to deliver an outstanding multimedia computing experience, the Satellite P750 and Satellite P755 are packed with 3D and entertainment features – users can even watch 3D films directly on the Satellite P755. Featuring a Toshiba TruBrite® HD 3D display with LED backlighting, the Satellite P755 allows gamers to immerse themselves in 3D interactive worlds, while movie fans can watch 3D films using the built-in 3D Blu-ray player. Using unique Toshiba conversion technology, the both the Satellite P750 and P755 can even instantly convert regular 2D DVD content into 3D, and connect to any external 3D TV for big-screen movie playback – perfect for enjoying in the comfort of the living room with friends and family.
The Satellite P755 comes bundled with a pair of NVIDIA® 3D Vision™ active shutter glasses, allowing users to enjoy three dimensional content out-of-the-box. The screen scans at a refresh rate of 120Hz, connecting with the glasses using an infrared signal, synchronising immediately to alternately display different perspectives for each eye, producing a realistic 3D effect.
All models in the Satellite P-series feature second generation Intel® processors and dedicated NVIDIA® graphics, enabling users to run task-intensive programs or play the latest video games. Enlarged stereo speakers designed by audio specialist Harman Kardon® sit above each full-sized tiled keyboard and combine with Dolby® Advanced Audio™, delivering punchy, distortion-free sound – perfectly complementing the high definition visuals without the need for an external speaker system.
Each new laptop features a Sleep-and-Charge USB 3.0 port, capable of transferring data up to 5 gigabits a second, as well as the ability to charge peripheral devices such as mobile phones or MP3 players, even when the laptop is in sleep mode. Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity with HS support also allows users to wirelessly transfer data between compatible devices and use wireless peripherals including mice and headphones. Up to 750GB of hard disk space also provides exceptional storage for large music, video and image libraries.
The incredible specification is complemented by an eye-catching new design. A stunning stripe pattern adorns the P-series body, giving each laptop a sleek, modern look, while the textured finish helps to reduce the appearance of fingerprints and scratches.
The Toshiba Satellite P-series will be available from late April 2011.
