Testronic Labs Launches Test Sevices for Nintendo 3DS
3D Games Testing Part of Full Spectrum of 3D Services
Testronic Labs, the recognized global leader in quality assurance and localization services for games, film and television, websites, hardware, and software, has launched test services for the recently released Nintendo 3DS. Set in the 3D-equipped, state-of-the-art games testing lab at Pinewood Studios in the UK, the Nintendo 3DS service is part of the end-to-end games testing services provided by Testronic.
The Nintendo 3DS, anxiously awaited and newly released this year, is the portable game console that produces 3D effects without the need for special glasses. The device was launched in Japan in February of this year and across Europe, North America and Australia late in March.
Testronic Labs is one of only a handful of outsourced testing companies in Europe who are in possession of the 3DS testing kits, as the kits are considered hard to acquire and in high demand. Testronic is now ideally positioned to provide a full range of services across the platform; encompassing localization, localization quality assurance, functionality testing, and compliance.
Commenting on the new capability, Alastair Harsant, Vice President of Operations for Games Services, said, “At Testronic Labs, we are delighted to have secured the 3DS testing equipment so soon after the launch of the product and ahead of many of our competitors. It demonstrates our commitment to remaining at the very forefront of games testing. The Nintendo 3DS is inarguably a remarkable innovation in the industry, and we are already working with publishers on testing exciting games for this cutting edge new platform.”
