BVE and The Production Show announce record number of visitors
Record number of visitors enjoy new product launches, high profile speakers
As the doors close on BVE and The Production Show 2011, the organisers have expressed delight at the record visitor numbers and high quality of exhibitor offerings and seminar content that drove visitors at these two co-located events.
Across three days Earls Court Two welcomed over 15,900 visitors from as far afield as America, Australia, UAE, China and Canada to witness both UK and global product launches. Opportunities also included the chance to hear from leading global experts in visual and audio disciplines at over 250 free seminar sessions.
Charlotte Bowskill, Event Director, said, “We are absolutely delighted with the success of the show. Exhibitors and visitors alike have been so complimentary about the quality of the products, services and learning opportunities available, so much so that over 65% of exhibitors have already signed up to attend next year. We thank everyone for their support and are already planning for an even bigger and better event in 2012.”
Among the highlights of the show were:
– the launch of BVE North, which will take place at the Manchester Central venue on 16-17 November 2011 alongside the Media Festival ;
– key product launches from big names including Avid, Canon, Panasonic and Sony, and Dolby who took the Best New Product prize at the inaugural BVE Awards for its PRM-4200 professional reference monitor;
– a host of stereoscopic 3D gurus, including Steve Schkair, Phil Streather and Vicky Betihavas, giving their predictions for the format and practical advice for delivering good 3D content;
– Innovative products including the Flyka Electric Dolly and Live Visions’ Chameleon, a pre-visualisation system that allows users to see an actor in relation to a virtual scene in real time.
