Sharp and Samsung have 3D Android smartphones on the market. LG announced at Mobile World Congress that its Optimus 3D Android smartphone would be commercially available later this year. “It is Spatial View’s intent to support all leading 3D Android devices with 3DeeCentral,” said Al Lopez, COO of Spatial View. The 3DeeCentral solution presents wireless operators with an end-to-end 3D value proposition for their subscribers, when combined with the 3D devices wireless operators launch on their networks. In addition, 3DeeCentral will drive data revenue through 3D content distribution to 3D devices. 3DeeCentral gives wireless operators the ability to deliver leading-edge services to their subscriber base by being at the forefront of the transition from HD to 3D content.
“We anticipate a significant increase in the introduction of 3D capable Android smartphones and tablets in 2011,” stated Lopez. “3DeeCentral is well positioned as a source of stereo 3D content for users of these devices.”
Availability
The free 3DeeCentral app will be available for download in the Android Market at 3DeeCentral.com and other Android application download sites this Spring.
