Quantel launches Qube broadcast craft editor

Enterprise sQ editor range grows with Stereo3D and 1080p editing client

Quantel launched Qube at IBC 2010 – a brand new craft editor for its Enterprise sQ server-based production systems. Qube is the fastest, most capable broadcast editor available.

Qube is built on the latest generation PC platform running 64-bit Windows 7. Platform-wide software optimisation further boosts performance. Qube offers full server-based editing. It also includes a brand new Quantel I/O board to handle 1080P and Stereo3D formats. These include side-by-side mode for easy, low cost stereo3D viewing. Qube handles DVCPRO100, AVC-Intra HD and the full range of SD formats, and is fully integrated into the Enterprise sQ workflow.

Qube features the same easy to use, fully featured craft editing interface as Quantel’s sQ Edit Plus, making it fast and simple for operators to transition to the new platform. It is also extremely competitively priced; this will be announced when Qube is released in January 2011.

“Enterprise sQ continues to grow to handle all the new formats that our customers want,” said Simon Rogers, Quantel R&D Director. “Qube makes handling multiple formats faster and more cost-effective than ever before.”
